Course Description

Course Duration
78 weeks (54 weeks study and 24 weeks holidays)
This qualification will be delivered over 78 weeks, including six terms of 9 weeks study and 24 weeks of holidays.

This course will be delivered 14 hours face to face in class and 6 hours online per week.

Entry Requirement
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must provide proof of school studies which is equivalent to Australian Year 12 or other higher qualifications.
- Must provide valid academic IELTS* of at least 6.0 overall score or equivalent unless exempted or need to submit English Proficiency certificate from an approved ELICOS provider of upper intermediate level or above; or completion of substantial part of studies of at least an AQF Certificate IV qualification or higher within the last 2 years; or have successfully passed the Rockford College English Placement Test. - Participate in the Course Entry Requirement Interview.
- International Students must meet the Student Visa (SC500) requirements.* Note that other English Language Test such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted.

Training and Assessment Arrangements
TRAINING ARRANGEMENT
Rockford College believes in providing quality education to each and every student. We offer and deliver high-quality student-focused courses which have been designed to provide students with job-focused skills and expertise to advance and succeed in their academic and professional goals.
Our trainers are highly qualified and experienced professionals with relevant industry experience and our training materials are practical, up-to-date, and industry-relevant.
Rockford College is fully equipped with infrastructures required to complete students training in an effective manner. Students are required to bring their own laptop with Office 365 (or similar program) to all classes. These costs are not included in course fees. Specifications for laptops and associated costs can be found in the resource’s requirements segment below.
Students are also required to have access to a suitable study place at home or public library to help you complete your self-study component, assessment activities, or participation in online classes.
There are different units of competencies in each qualification and our industry experienced qualified trainers will explain the outlines and assessment requirements at the beginning of the training of each unit of competency.
Students will be provided with the list of reference books application to each unit prior to commencement of the class which they can purchase directly.
During the class, each student will be provided with the learning resources such as a student learner guide, PowerPoint presentation, formative activities, and where applicable simulated case studies, policies, and procedures.
ASSESSMENT ARRANGEMENT
Each unit of competency involves a combination of the various assessment task. Assessment methods include writing report, case study, presentation/observations, written research, assignments and questions answers, role play, practical demonstration group projects etc. More information is provided in the International Student Handbook on the assessment system, submission guidelines, reassessment arrangements etc.

Course Progress
All International students are required to meet satisfactory course progress in order to meet their student visa conditions. Please refer to International Student Handbook which is available in our website on the specific support that Rockford College offers to international students. Additional support is provided to those international students who are identified as a risk of not meeting the course progress requirements as per the intervention strategy.
Additional Support
Rockford College is committed to providing ongoing student support to our students. Our support staff will assist students from the time of enrolment until they complete the training program. Our support staff will engage with the individual student in a number of ways in order to understand their needs and provide necessary internal or external support in every step of their journey with the Rockford College, so that they could successfully complete their course.
We will provide wide range of learning support options and resources to assist students if required such as;
- One to one support from the trainers and assessors to assist with their studies.
Additional classes, tutorial, and workshops. - One to one support from the Administration relating to any student concerns such includes language, literacy and numeracy issues.
- Additional support for learners who come from a non-English speaking background
- Counselling support
- Referral to relevant external services.

Course Credit
In accordance with the requirements of the VET Quality Framework, Rockford College provides the opportunity for students to apply to have prior learning, skills and knowledge recognised and counted in relation to the qualification or units of competence for which they are enrolled. This information is also included in Rockford College International Student Handbook.
International students should be aware that, granting the credit towards the course may affect the duration and fees of the course.
If course credit is approved after the Confirmation of Enrolment has been issued, students will receive a new Confirmation of Enrolment showing a reduced course duration. This may also affect the duration of the student visa.
The outcome of the application for credit will be advised in the writing to the students with the changes to the fess and the course duration.

Costs
The costs for this course are as follows:
Enrolment fee: $250 (non-refundable)
Tuition fee: $18,000
Materials fee (non-tuition fee): $75 per Term. $450 for 6 terms.
Total course fee: $18,700
Note: Material fees include Student Learner Guide, PowerPoint Presentation Handouts, Learning Handouts in the class and does not include reference books which student can purchase directly.
Please go through the International Student Handbook which outlines the detail payment terms and conditions. Furthermore, a detail payment plan and payment arrangements including any additional charges that may be applicable are provided in the letter of offer and written agreement.
Students need to review the detail payment plan before accepting the offer.
Rockford College reserves the right to vary the tuition fees and/ or other charges from time to time.
However, once the student is enrolled into a course, the fees will be same for the normal duration of that course. Updated fee structure will be applicable if student fails to complete the course in due time and on the extended period.
